Working Professionals/Executives
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I enjoyed a successful career as a managing director and partner at a capital management firm. I was outwardly successful and gregarious, but at times I also felt fundamentally disconnected and stuck. Over time my work/life balance suffered; I began to feel as though I was burning out and I didn’t understand why I couldn’t just snap out of it. Although I initially resisted the idea of working with a therapist, therapy became a valuable space where I was able to safely understand and work through my own professional and personal issues and ultimately thrive again.
I believe my experience as a former executive helps me connect with and understand other professionals in order to work with them at a deeper, more meaningful level. Often times, working professionals and executives feel stuck and they seek therapy to manage stress and avoid burnout. Many have professional careers that are thriving, while at the same time their personal lives and relationships with others may be suffering and a goal of therapy is to achieve a healthier work/life balance. No matter what your reason is for seeking therapy, therapy can help you improve your overall quality of life, personally and professionally, and the quality of your relationships with others.
