Professional Background
My professional background began in the financial services industry. I spent well over a decade climbing the corporate ladder and I ultimately became a managing director and equity partner of a successful capital management firm in the Los Angeles area. Although I had reached goals and achieved significant professional success, I also experienced a lack of personal fulfillment from my career. I enjoyed my job, my clients, and my colleagues, but at the same time I felt that something was missing. At that time, it was my own experience in therapy that helped me grow to redefine what success truly means. And so I made the brave decision to change careers in order to pursue a profession that felt more aligned with my personal truth, life’s purpose, and desire to help others. I am passionate about my work as a psychotherapist, and I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
Education and Training
I earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Denver. I went on to earn a Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology. In the past I have worked as a therapist at The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills, as well as The Antioch University Counseling Center in Culver City. Additionally, I have worked on campuses at various high schools in the Los Angeles area providing weekly therapy to adolescents.
